As an annual activity to help community enjoy a peaceful and sweet Christmas, last 12th Dec 2015, Mitsubishi Elevator Vietnam Co., Ltd (VMEC) cooperated with Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd. (MEVN) and representatives of Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pte Singapore Co., Ltd (MEAP) organize Christmas of Love – a charity event for children in northern highlands.
Many gifts such as books, toys, food for essential needs: instant noodles, sugar, milk ... and clothes were donated to the children.
In Christmas atmosphere with cold wind and fog, the volunteers were very happy to contribute some small gifts and bring joy to the local children and elderly.
Thuy An is a care center for elderly and disabled children. It is located in Ba Vi National Park, 80 kilometers away from Hanoi. The center receives and nurtures disabled children, homeless elderly. The center needs a lot of help for those unfortunate to find joy and health in life and labor.
Apart from the gifts coming from business budget, the volunteers also donated books, comics, toys from their family, friends. We hoped to bring faith, laughter and happiness to the children in this Christmas season.
At the same day, the volunteers planted tree for forest protection at Ba Vi National Park. We also visited, took pictures and donated benches for the center.
Through each voluntary program, each staff became more aware of his/her responsibility for society. On the way back, we realized the meaning of sharing because there are many unfortunate people who really need enough love to hope and enough hope to continue further useful life.
